Liebe Folkwängler*innen,
viele von euch haben wahrscheinlich schon davon gehört, dass die bisherige finanzielle Unterstützung durch die Folkwang Universität der Künste, auf die das AStA Café am Campus Werden angewiesen ist, zum Ende des Jahres 2024 nicht verlängert werden soll.
Da wir der Meinung sind, dass das auf so vielen Ebenen ein immenser Verlust für Folkwang wäre, möchten wir euch bitten, uns in unserem Anliegen einer fortlaufenden Finanzierung zu unterstützen und diese Petition zu unterschreiben. Vorstellung BIPOC Beratung
|
Ihr möchtet konkrete rassistische Vorfälle melden oder über Belastungen aufgrund von rassistischer Diskriminierung sprechen? Dann könnt ihr euch an die Berater*in Pamela Aryeh wenden. Die Beratung bietet u. a. Raum, Rassismus – und weitere Diskriminierungserfahrungen – an Folkwang zu benennen sowie Struktur und Bedeutung der eigenen Rolle als Bi_PoC im Kontext Universität machtkritisch zu reflektieren. Weiterhin kann der Rahmen z. B. für einen Austausch zu individuellen Handlungsstrategien, Empowerment oder weitere Anliegen im Zusammenhang mit Rassismus an der Universität genutzt werden.
Die Beratung ist für euch kostenfrei und richtet sich nach euren individuellen Bedürfnissen. Dabei arbeitet die rassismuskritische Berater*in von außerhalb und unabhängig von der Hochschule. Alle Angaben und Inhalte, die ihr teilt, unterliegen vollständig der Verschwiegenheit und des Datenschutzes.

Call for Short Films / Kurzfilmwanderung Bonn 2024
|
Die Kurzfilmwanderung Bonn ist eine Stadtteilwanderung, während der ausgewählte Kurzfilme auf Häuserwänden, in Innenhöfen oder auf Brückenpfeilern gezeigt werden. Sie findet am Samstag, 7. September 2024 ab 19.30 Uhr zum zweiten Mal statt und wird in der Bonner Altstadt/Nordstadt ausgerichtet. Ausgestattet mit einem mobilen Projektor sowie Soundsystem wandert das Publikum von Wand zu Wand und schaut sich an jeder der 6 Stationen 1-3 Kurzfilme an.

many of you have probably already heard that the current financial support from the Folkwang University of the Arts, on which the AStA Café on the Werden campus relies, is not to be extended at the end of 2024.
As we are of the opinion that this would be an immense loss for Folkwang on so many levels, we would like to ask you to support us in our request for continued funding and to sign this petition. We will take the final result with us to the Senate meeting in July.

Introduction BIPOC Counseling
|
Would you like to report specific racist incidents or talk about stress caused by racist discrimination? Then you can contact the counselor Pamela Aryeh. Among other things, the counseling offers space to name racism – and other experiences of discrimination – at Folkwang and to reflect critically on the structure and significance of your own role as Bi_PoC in the context of the university. Furthermore, the framework can be used, for example, for an exchange on individual strategies for action, empowerment or other concerns in connection with racism at the university.
Counseling is free of charge and is tailored to your individual needs. The racism-critical advisor works from outside and independently of the university. All information and content that you share is fully subject to confidentiality and data protection.
Please contact Pamela informally by e-mail if you have a concern or would like to make an appointment. You will receive a prompt reply to your request.

Call for Short Films / Short Film walk Bonn 2024
|
The Bonn short film walk is a district walk during which selected short films are shown on the walls of houses, in courtyards or on bridge pillars. It will take place for the second time on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 7.30 pm and will be held in Bonn’s Altstadt/Nordstadt district. Equipped with a mobile projector and sound system, the audience will wander from wall to wall and watch 1-3 short films at each of the 6 stations.
